LEH Ladakh Itinerary and the Experience of My LEH Trip…




LEH Trip was one of my dream trip in my life. I feel, Ladakh is one of the ultimate place for adventure trip in the world. Here you can get the experience of cold desert. In Ladakh, there have highest mountain motorable road in the world. Main beauties of Ladakh are the nature of mountains, colours of of mountains, colours of sky, cold desert and the amazing lakes. Sometimes you can get a chance to see some amazing wild animals. 





Itinerary and the Experience of My LEH Trip…

This is the itinerary and the experience of my LEH trip. I had made this plan for 9 days only, because I didn't get any more extra days from my tight work schedule.


Day 1 (21st July, 2017): Kolkata to Delhi (By Flight) and Delhi to Manali (Overnight BUS Journey, to reach Manali)

I had started my journey from kolkata and my flight time was 2:15 pm. I reached delhi at 4:45 pm and I got a AC VOLVO bus at 8:00 pm from ISBT Kashmiri Gate. Overnight BUS Journey for to reach Manali from Delhi. But I suggest you to take a flight in the morning. So you can get more buffer time to reach the bus depot for Delhi to Manali BUS. Sometimes Delhi traffic may pathetic and you may miss your pre-booking bus.

I had a bad experience, “when I was traveling Delhi to Manali at night. Bus had given a halt in a DHABA, named "Haveli" for dinner. But the Haveli's food was pathetic.” I suggest you to carry dry food to kill hunger.


Day 2 (22nd July, 2017): Manali to jispa via Rotang Pass. (Night Stay @ Jispa)

I reached manali at 9 am in the morning. I had taken a room in a hotel at manali for few hours to take rest and quick wash & change to get fresh. Car was pre booked from "SPANGYUL TRAVELS"  I left from Manali at 11:30 am for the destination Jispa. I reached Jispa at 5 pm in the evening and we had traveled around 150 km. I stayed night in "HOTEL IBEX JISPA". Hotel location was in nice place and the food was great.


Day 3 (23rd July, 2017): Jispa to Leh via Baralacha pass, Tanglang La, visit- Serchu, Pang, Moore Plans. (Night Stay @ LEH)

After an early breakfast I left from the hotel for the next destination LEH. I had traveled around 350 km via Baralacha pass, Tanglang La, Sarchu, Pang, Moore Plans. I reached LEH at 5 pm in the evening. I stayed night inHORPO GUEST HOUSE, LEH”. Hotel location was in nice place and the food was not so good (**average).


Day 4 (24th July, 2017): Leh local sightseeing, Hall of fame museum, Thiksey gompa, Shanti stup, Shey palace, Magmatic Hill, Sangam point Indus & Zanskar river confluence view, Gurdwara Pathar Sahib (Night Stay @ LEH)

After breakfast I left from the hotel for local sightseeing in LEH. I had visited “Hall of Fame Museum”, “Thiksey Gompa”, “Shanti Stup”, “Shey Palace”, “Magmatic Hill”, “Sangam Point Indus & Zanskar River Confluence View”, “Gurdwara Pathar Sahib”. In the evening I spent some time in LEH market and I stayed night in a same hotel “HORPO GUEST HOUSE, LEH”.


Day 5 (25th July, 2017): Leh to Nubra valley via Khardungla Pass, Visit- Disket Monastery, Mitriya Buddha Statue, Hunder Sand Dunes Double Hump Camel Safari. (Night Stay @ Nubra)

In the early morning after breakfast, I left the hotel for the next destination "Nubra valley via Khardongla pass". I spent sometime in “Khardungla Pass”. I had traveled around 160 km to 170km. I had reached Nubra at 3 pm. I had visited “Disket Monastery”, “Mitriya Buddha Statue” and enjoyed the “Hunder Sand Dunes Double Hump Camel Safari” in the same day. I stayed this night in Camp which was referred by SPANGYUL TRAVELS. Camp location was nice and the food was good. I suggest you to carry a torch light or charging light, because sometimes there might be electricity problem.


Day 6 (26th July, 2017): Nubra valley to Leh via Khardongla Pass, Visit- Sumur Samstanling Monastery Village. (Night Stay @ LEH)

After breakfast I left from the camp for returning to LEH. On the way, I had visited “Sumur Samstanling Monastery Village”. I returned to LEH at 2 pm. I did lunch in a good restaurant in LEH market area. I stayed night in “CHUBI SPONBO GUEST HOUSE, LEH”.

This guest house (**CHUBI SPONBO GUEST HOUSE, LEH) was nice. There are well decorated room, beautiful garden and the nice home made food.


Day 7 (27th July, 2017): Leh to Pangong Lake via Changla Pass, Visit- Spangmik village, 3Idots Shooting Points. (Night Stay @ Pangong)

After an early morning breakfast I left from the hotel for the next dream destination Pangong Lake. I had traveled around 230 km via Changla Pass. I had reached Pangong Lake at 4pm and I spent sometime in Spangmik Village and 3Idots Shooting Points. I stayed night in “HIMALAYAN WOODEN COTTAGES”. It was nice cottage, nice lake view frome this cottage and the food was good.


Day 8 (28th July, 2017): Pangong lake to Leh via Changla Pass, Visit- Hemis Monastery, Rancho School Leh (Night Stay @ LEH)

After breakfast I left from the cottage for returning to LEH. On the way, I had visited “Hemis Monastery” and “Rancho School”. I returned to LEH at 3 pm. I did lunch in a good restaurant in LEH market area. I stayed night in “HORPO GUEST HOUSE, LEH”.


Day 9 (29th July, 2017): Airport drop.

My flight was in the early morning for coming back to KOLKATA. There is no direct flight for KOLKATA (CCU). So I got connecting flights- “LEH (IXL) to Chandigarh (IXC)”, “Chandigarh (IXC) to Delhi (DEL)” and “Delhi (DEL) to Kolkata (CCU)”.
I reached kolkata 7 pm in the evening.


Trip End… But memories always with me…
I will come back soon…. I love LADAKH...
